An organized phone can be more useful than an organized dresser - I said it, I meant it. Everywhere, all the time, 90% of the people I see are using their smart phones. I make the comparison to a dresser because a phone is almost part of our outfit. Like that pair of shoes we wear every day, or a coat we need for cold days - but wait, you gotta check the weather on your phone before deciding if you will need that coat. Thinking about all of us who can't leave the house without our phones, here are 5 simple things we can do to make this "piece of us" more organized. 1.Delete Useless AppsWe do it. We download apps that we don't even need... Then there they are, cluttering not only the screen, but also the memory of the phone. Time to make some tough decisions! Go on your phone and let go of all those apps you don't use {or never did}, delete them {make sure you have the paid ones on your cloud}. If four months later you decide it is actually useful, nothing will stop you from downloading it again. 2. Organize The Remaining AppsNow that you deleted the apps that were on your way, how about organizing the ones you have left? You can make "folders" by category. Example: Social Media, Work, News, Tv & Videos, Photo & Editing, Finances, etc. Or you can also use these same categories to organize the apps by "page". If you like the way your screen looks, that's also fine. 3. Check Your NotesI don't know about you, but I create a lot of notes on my phone. The problem is that I keep forgetting to delete the ones that are not useful anymore. Then I end up not really seeing the ones that are actually important, because they are far on the list. So now I just delete the ones that I don't need anymore, as soon as I use the info of that note. 4. Declutter Photos & VideosHow many photos and videos do you have on your phone? I know... But you need to let those selfies go. We all have those photos and videos we won't ever use, not even to make jokes later. So deleting them is important before the next step. Don't forget to also do a backup, so you can still keep the ones you like, just not all on your phone. 5. Make AlbumsHow about adding those pictures to albums? For me, I have a "Before & After" album {or folder} on my phone to keep my photos from clients, and another one to keep photos I might use for social media like my for my Instagram {@iamaneataholic}. It helps finding what I need and saving time. Decluttering the phone is important to save time and conserve memory. Your text & talk may be unlimited, but your phone memory is not. And decluttering is easy. You can do it while waiting in line at the supermarket, or anywhere you have time to kill.
