I live in a small house. Consequently, I have a small closet, small kitchen, small bathroom... The only space that isn't small is the basement. I don't complain though, because I love my home the way it is, and I see it as a challenge to make everything organized and homey. Thinking about this kind of issue, I realized that when you don't have much space, you can go vertical - in other words, use your walls! Many people are already making good use of the vertical space, and here are some pictures I got from google to inspire you... These kitchens are great examples of how to use your walls to store pretty much anything.
These are ideas I got from The Container Store website. A closet, a door rack, and an office, using the Elfa Shelving System {that is on sale, btw}. This is Urbio. I just love their creations! The magnets are really strong, and you can design how your stuff will go on the wall. More than organization, they are decoration. Those are just a few ideas in pictures. In fact, you can use wall racks, baskets, bins, shelves, and whatever you feel like adding to your wall, so you can make some good use of your vertical space. For necessity, for decoration, or both.
